The first season followed volume 1 until volume 10. The second season followed volume 11 until volume 20. This meant that while Fire Force Season 3 may continue this pattern, it would likely follow the manga’s storyline instead.
Meanwhile, the manga series “Attack on Titan” has only 32 volumes, meaning that the anime could end without any filler arcs if it decides to produce a third season.
