Some people believe that plane hijack movies are becoming too common or coming out too often.
There’s been one in the past decade with “A Hijacking,” “Non-Stop” in 2014, and in 2012 with “Flight.” One theory is that it has to do with terrorism being in the news all the time.
Another theory points to the fact that Hollywood loves to exploit anything popular in the news. The fact is, it’s a great thriller.
The movie is also thrilling because of the reality behind it. It’s a true story based on the 2009 hijacking of an Ethiopian Airlines flight.
The plane was taken over by one man and forced to land in Geneva, Switzerland. After landing, the hijacker demanded that the plane fly to Rome for the Pope to deliver his ransom note.
He didn’t want money; he wanted asylum from the Swiss government. The movie is also thrilling because of the reality behind it.

Plane Hijack Movies – Non-Stop (2014)
In the movie Non-Stop, a federal air marshal (played by Liam Neeson) must find a way to stop a terrorist plot that threatens to kill all the passengers on his flight.
The terrorist is using an electronic device to send messages to someone on the ground, and they need to figure out who it is before they can stop him.
However, the messages keep on getting more and more threatening and disturbing as the movie goes on.
At first, they think it may be a passenger because of a text message that reads, “Everyone will die in 30 min,” and there’s no way for anyone outside the plane to get that information without being inside the plane.
However, they soon realize that there’s a spy on the plane because of another text message that says, “I’m not texting you from 30,000 feet.”
Since there is no wifi or cell service at that height, only someone on the plane would know. The next text messages get progressively more upsetting, and it becomes harder for all the passengers and crew members to stay calm.
Meanwhile, the marshal realizes that he’s the only one who knows what’s going on and has to take action before everyone panics.
He starts using his skills as a federal marshal to figure out who the terrorist is and how to stop him from carrying out his plan. But soon enough, it becomes a race against the clock to save everyone on board.
The movie ends with a dramatic showdown between the marshal and the terrorist, and thankfully, everyone is saved in time.
It’s an edge-of-your-seat thriller that will keep you glued to your seat until the very end. So if you’re looking for a good movie to watch, be sure to check out Non-Stop. You won’t regret it!

A summary of the true story from the film Non-Stop (2014):
In the film Non-Stop, a U.S. Air Marshal named Bill Marks is faced with a terrifying situation when a passenger on his flight begins sending him threatening messages, demanding $150 million be transferred to an account within 20 minutes.
If the money isn’t delivered, the passengers will start killing passengers one by one.
As the minutes tick by, Marks becomes increasingly desperate to find a way to stop the passenger before anyone else dies.
It soon becomes clear that the person behind the threats is someone on the flight, and Marks must use all of his skills as an air marshal to track them down.
In the end, Marks is successful in stopping the passenger and preventing any more deaths. While the events in the film are fictional, they are loosely based on a true story that occurred in 2009.
In that case, an Air India flight was threatened with a bomb, and the passengers were able to successfully foil the plot.
So what can we learn from these real-life stories? Well, first of all, we can see that threats like this don’t always come from outside.
Despite the fact that they seem impossible and no one knows where they’re coming from, these kinds of threats can actually happen to anyone.
We also learned that even if you do receive a threat, it’s important to remain calm and not let your fear get out of control. As Marks showed us in Non-Stop, if you panic or give into the threats, you only make the situation worse.
Finally, we learned that it’s important to have a plan and to stay focused during a crisis. By using his training and quick thinking, Marks was able to save the day, and we can all learn from his example.
So the next time you find yourself on a plane, remember these lessons and know that you’re not powerless in the face of a threat. Stay calm, stay focused, and be prepared for anything. You never know when your skills might come in handy.
