Best Place to Stay in Dubai – When it comes to vacationing in Dubai, one of the most frequently asked questions is where to stay.
Because Dubai’s attractions are dispersed throughout the city and the distances between them are considerable, there is no single central location where you can spend the night and be close to all of them.
On Palm Island, there are a number of superior 5-star hotels, but they are located far from the international airport and the city’s historic center.
It is best to book a cheap hotel in Dubai near the Dubai Creek, which is where the majority of the budget hotels are located.
These hotels are a little further away from the sights in terms of distance, so you may have to travel a long distance to see the Dubai Marina, for example.
The beach is a big plus for hotels along the coast, but the price tag on these hotels is often much higher.
In recent years, there has been a shift towards the south of Dubai when it comes to staying overnight.
Many tourists now prefer to stay in the Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach, Palm Jumeirah, and Downtown Dubai rather than the old part of the city (the area around the Dubai Creek, including Bur Dubai and Deira).
As a result of this shift, hotels in the older part of Dubai are becoming less expensive in comparison to the rest of the city.
Best Place to Stay in Dubai Is Here
Below, we’ve broken down which districts we believe are the best for booking a hotel in Dubai, as well as more information about our favorite hotels.
Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall
The area surrounding the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall is known as Downtown Dubai.
This area is very central in terms of location; you can get to the old city center of Dubai fairly quickly from Downtown Dubai, and the Dubai Marina is also only a 15-minute drive away.
Downtown Dubai is Dubai’s most popular area, and it’s where you’ll find most of the city’s luxury 5-star hotels.
Those who want to spend the night in this part of Dubai will have to dig deep into their pockets, especially during peak season, when prices soar.
As a result, many hotels in this area are unsuitable for budget travelers. During the low season, travelers on a tight budget are more likely to find a room in downtown Dubai for a reasonable price.
The 5-star Armani Hotel in the Burj Khalifa, The Address Downtown Dubai, Hotel Sofitel Dubai Downtown, and The Address Dubai Mall are among the best hotels in Downtown Dubai.
Our personal favorite is The Palace Old Town, a five-star hotel. This Arab-style hotel is part of the small Souk al Bahar shopping center and is directly on the Dubai Fountain’s lake.
There are four fine restaurants, a luxurious swimming pool with palm trees, and many rooms that look out over the Dubai Fountain and the Burj Khalifa. This hotel is very luxurious.
It’s very common to see the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain from hotel rooms in Downtown Dubai. Especially high-rise hotel rooms have great views, especially at sunset.
Jumeirah Beach Road/Umm Suqeim Beach/Madinat Jumeirah
This area of Dubai is home to a number of high-end hotels, including the Burj al Arab, Dubai’s and possibly the world’s most famous hotel.
This is the only 7-star hotel on the planet. It is located on Jumeirah Beach Road near Umm Suqeim Beach. For ordinary mortals, a room in this hotel is almost unaffordable.
The cheapest room, a deluxe suite for two adults and two children, costs 1900 euros per night, and the most expensive suite costs well over 10,000 euros per night.
The striking 5-star hotel, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, is a short distance away, right on the beach. This hotel was one of Dubai’s first luxury hotels, and it is particularly popular with British visitors.
The Mina Al-Salam hotel in the beautiful Madinat Jumeirah complex is without a doubt our favorite in this area of Dubai.
A number of luxurious 5-star resorts, a shopping center, and a large number of catering establishments are all part of this complex.
Those who spend the night in one of the Madinat Jumeirah hotels will be transported to an Arabian fairy tale of a thousand and one nights.
The entire complex is designed in a traditional Arabic style, with the numerous water features being the most prominent feature. The narrow alleys and traditional water towers, as well as the water features, make for a unique environment.
The Madinat Jumeirah hotels have a number of lovely private beaches that are only accessible to hotel and Courtyard Summerhouse guests.
There are over 40 restaurants and various entertainment venues in the complex, some of which are only available to hotel guests.
The special abra water taxis that sail through the entire complex to take you from point A to point B are available to hotel guests for free.
The Dubai Marina & Jumeirah Beach Residences
The Dubai Marina and the Jumeirah Beach Residences are located just past the palm island, about a half-hour drive from the airport.
This area is known as Dubai’s tourist area because it is close to the beach. A large number of the hotels in this area are located on The Walk, a pleasant boulevard with views of the sea and palm islands.
The Walk also has a large number of restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues, as well as the recently opened Jumeirah Beach Village.
The Dubai Marina offers a wide range of accommodations, from budget hotels to luxury 5-star hotels with private beaches, such as the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort.
Please keep in mind that during peak season, the prices of popular hotels in Dubai Marina can skyrocket. The Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort is without a doubt our favorite hotel in Dubai Marina.
It’s a fantastic place to stay, with its own private beach, several swimming pools, a spa, and 14 international restaurants.
In addition to a wide range of hotels, the Dubai Marina also has a large number of apartments. A lot of apartments in different parts of this area are rented out by both private people and businesses through Airbnb.
Palm Jumeirah
On the well-known artificial island in the shape of a palm tree, a large number of (luxury) hotels and apartments can be found. The Kempinski Palm Jumeirah and Sofitel Dubai are among the hotels.
On the outer ring of the Palm, The Palm Resort, One & Only The Palm, and Rixos Palm Jumeirah are notable, with the striking Atlantis The Palm hotel at the top.
The hotels on the Palm Jumeirah are all in the higher price range, so you won’t be disappointed.
These hotels are also excellent in terms of location, being near the sea and almost always having a large beach reserved exclusively for hotel guests.
There are few “snoopers” at the hotel because of its location on the outer ring of the palm island, far from Dubai’s busy and touristic areas.
The only drawback to staying at one of the Palm Jumeirah hotels is the transportation.
To get to the outer ring of the palm, you must first drive the long road that runs through the palm’s trunk, and then pass through a tunnel next to the Atlantis hotel to arrive at the outer ring of the palm island.
Depending on how busy the road is, this ride can take anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes. Taxi drivers are hesitant to take passengers to the hotels on the Palm Jumeirah because of the distance.
Furthermore, there aren’t always enough taxis waiting in front of the hotels. Fortunately, many of the more luxurious hotels have their own taxi services.
